Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, names, postal addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses that can be used to identify an individual.

We collect, process, and use personal data (including IP addresses) only where necessary to perform a contract, to take steps prior to entering into a contract, or where processing is required to safeguard our legitimate interests.

  • Contact details such as your name, telephone number, email address, postal address, and date of birth.
  • Purchase history data, including information about your orders and the products you have purchased.
  • Purchase history data, such as order information, including details of the products you have purchased.
  • Other personal data, such as credit card information, bank account details, and information relating to your professional background and career.

LOG FILES

Whenever you access the internet, your web browser automatically transmits certain information, which is stored by us in so-called log files.

We retain log files for as long as necessary to identify and resolve technical issues and for security purposes (e.g. investigating attempted attacks). They are then deleted or anonymized. Log files that must be retained for evidentiary purposes are exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been fully resolved and may, where required, be disclosed to the relevant investigative authorities. The storage of log files is based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of our website.

The following information is stored in the log files in particular:

  • The IP address (Internet Protocol address) of the device used to access the website;
  • The internet address (URL) of the website from which the online offering was accessed (the so-called referrer URL);
  • The name of the internet service provider through which the online offering is accessed;
  • The names of the files or information accessed;
  • Datum und Uhrzeit sowie Dauer des Abrufs;
  • The volume of data transferred;
  • The operating system and information about the web browser used, including installed add-ons (e.g. a password manager);
  • The HTTP status code (e.g. "Request successful" or "Requested file not found").

USER ANALYTICS

The website uses analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to help us understand how visitors use the site. The information collected about your use of the website is stored on the servers of the respective analytics service providers.

Analytics tools enable us to collect and analyze data on how visitors use our website. This allows us to understand which pages are accessed, when they are visited, and the geographic regions from which those visits originate.

Additional data collected may include the names of the files accessed, the browser used, the features utilized, and the time spent on the website.

Company Name has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in an anonymized form in order to optimize both its website and its advertising activities. Where your prior consent has been obtained when visiting our website (e.g. consent to the use of cookies), processing is carried out on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time with future effect.

Detailed information about the analytics tools we use can be found in our  Cookie Policy.

Disclosure of Data

As a general rule, we only disclose your personal data to other data controllers where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, where we or the third party have an overriding legitimate interest in the disclosure, or where you have given your consent.

Furthermore, data may be disclosed to other data controllers where we are required to do so by law or by an enforceable administrative or court order.

Service Providers

We engage external service providers to perform tasks such as marketing services, development operations, data hosting, shipping and debugging. We have carefully selected these service providers and monitor them regularly, particularly with regard to their careful handling and protection of the data stored with them. All service providers are required by us to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Disclosure to Recipients Outside the EEA

We may also disclose personal data to recipients located outside the EEA in so-called third countries. In such cases, before disclosing the data, we ensure through appropriate contractual agreements that the recipient provides an adequate level of data protection or, where necessary, that you have consented to the disclosure.

Information on Data Storage: Storage Location and Retention Periods

Your data is stored primarily in Switzerland and Germany. Due to the use of various service providers, data may also be stored in other EU countries and in the United States.

As a general rule, we retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and related offerings, or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in its continued storage (for example, we may retain a legitimate interest in postal marketing even after a contract has been fulfilled). Thereafter, we delete your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain data to comply with legal obligations. For example, tax and commercial law retention requirements may oblige us to retain documents such as contracts and invoices for a specified period.

Marketing-Tools

We use various tools for marketing activities. When you use these tools, your browser may establish a direct connection to the servers of the respective provider. As a result, the provider receives information that your browser has accessed the relevant page of our website. Log files, similar to those described in Section 5, are also transmitted to the respective providers’ servers and may be stored there. The provider or its servers may be located outside Switzerland, the EU or the EEA, for example in the United States.

Data is exchanged via third-party cookies.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection, subsequent processing and use of the data can be found in our Cookie Policy and in the respective terms and conditions and privacy notices.
